Head Strategic Business Development ABC XY

The Head Manager will have overall responsibility for P&L Management and the strategic management and control of sales and product planning for all Lines of Business (LOB) for Computer Systems on the Country X and Country Y markets.

This will include the control of financial results in cooperation with Controlling, the review of business and product planning in economic and financial regard, and possibly the implementation of corrective measures in cooperation with the responsible people of the LOBs.

He will be responsible for quality assurance of Fund Management, the control of secondary indirect costs as well as for the release and control of discount, bonus and pricing systems. He will strategize mid- and long-term sales goals of the business units as a basis for decisions made by top management within the scope of strategic sales management tasks.

He will be responsible for the deployment of sales resources, producing potentials analyses for the LOBs and for the evaluation and release of LOB business plans. He will take charge of the further development of existing and the evaluation of new sales channels, of strategic projects for channel marketing as well as of the control and release of sales contracts.

Furthermore, he will be responsible for strategic product planning, will ensure life-cycle management and the supply of product-specific information and will define the communication strategy for Marketing. He will monitor the implementation of strategies and planning in regard to quality and success.

Staff reporting to him will be managed based on objectives, and he will maintain their systematic further professional development.

The position holder will demonstrate a high degree of self-organization and reflection. He will be managed by his superior based on objectives. Company strategies and goals will be coordinated and decided upon together with his superior.

His activity and decisions will have strategic influence on the company's sales and product policies and will signpost the company's direction of development


A university or college degree in business administration or in a technical field of study.


More that 8 years in an international sales organization of High Tech industry.
