Manage your time well, reduce stress

You want to be an ideal worker, dream employee of your boss, and most successful professional among your peers. You want to take on challenges which no one wants to take on, you want to solve problems no one else wants to get their hands into, and you are willing to dedicate long hours and weekends working on them.

Time management is a secondary thing, what matters most to you is how to impress your boss.

Even at first if you think that it is too much work, but you still want to take it. It won't be long when your enthusiasm will eventually wear you down and you will realize that perhaps you have got too much into your plate. You are beginning to feel that you are the victim of your own success.

You might also be forgetting something which was suppose to be done, but since there were already too many things in your mind, forgetting something about your work has become a regular thing of late. As a result of which, now you not only struggle to deliver on time, but also fail to work productively.

If you have been in above mentioned situations, then you have been suffering with Job stress due to lack of proper time management. We all suffer from it, but some people suffer more, and there is no way you can get away with it. But you can make sure that it doesn't reduce your quality of work, screw up your productivity and sanity in life.

Managing stress at workplace will improve your physical and emotional health. Just like your emotions and body language are contagious, and if you are stressed if affects your interactions with others.

Working on improving you time management, so that you can it reduces stress and stress related problems, and maximize your performance, take a lot of determined effort. First, you need to accept this problem and think through and establish your performance benchmarks and targets towards which you will be working on.

Then, take help of your boss, decide on how will you achieve these targets. You need to develop some assertiveness skills so that you can say no to tasks that have little impact on your targets. And finally most importantly, reduce coffee breaks, interruptions, and distractions.
